Elk Falls Pottery has provided a modest living for us since its beginning, but the work is not so much a business or a profession as it is a result, or the fruit, of a chosen lifestyle. Working together at home as a family is a blessing many cannot enjoy in today’s world. It also requires a certain discipline that many would not choose, but which gives a sense of direction and purpose to those who embrace it. While our children, Cherry and Zach, were still at home, homeschooling became a large part of the daily schedule. Gardening, building, restoring, dulcimer playing, reading, photography and more fill in the free moments. As believers and followers of Christ, worship is the common thread running through all our endeavors.
